Description
This Mindstorms EV3 unit is designed for students to apply programming concepts for a fun and competitive activity. Three different races will challenge students to think about other aspects of EV3 programming and strategize with their team to find solutions to meet the challenges.
Included with this unit is Video presentation of each race, handouts to guide student preparation, Lesson Plans to guide sequence and timing of unit (requires 9 or more sessions).
This unit requires simple programming, but requires a knowledge of EV3 programming basics. The races is also appropriate for use after other programs in this store, which provide the necessary instruction to lead into the races.
Utilizing the related products within this store (Inventory, On For Seconds, On For Rotations), in addition to Mindstorms Basic Tutorials for Configuring Blocks, Straight Move and Curved Move, you have enough instruction to fill approximately 40 sessions. At the end of this process, students will be ready and eager to pursue bigger programming challenges.
